Gratitude- What We Have is Enough!
There have been plenty of moments in my life where I didn't have anything.
No money.
No food.
No diapers or formula for my (then) 4 month old.
No way out of the darkness.
The scarcity.
The poverty.
I felt like I didn't HAVE anything to be grateful for and that, my friends, was my mistake. There is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. Sometimes, you just have to look a little harder.
The Universe walked me through many hardships to learn this lesson.
I married and had a baby young. My ex husband ended up becoming a drug addict. He took everything I had. I left. I had nothing...and a child to support.
I remember one night in talks with God...crying, begging, pleading to be better, to have more...in that moment, I made a promise.
"God, if you just stay with me and strengthen me while I walk through this storm, I promise to show every single woman that needs me, their way out of the dark.'
That was 10 years ago. But it took me so long to get out of my own way! Since then, I have rebuilt every single aspect of my life. From marrying the love of my life, adding to our family, buying and flipping a rental property, to buying a home, and NOW I'm chasing my dream to change the world.
It was through showing gratitude that I was able to change my physical reality. It was through setting intentions over my life, that I was able to have faith in the shifts, no matter how painful.
I want the same for each and everyone of you. Find things to be grateful for each day, no matter how small they may seem. I have learned to celebrate every single win. When you do this, you're training your brain to look for all the positive things instead of sniffing out the negative.
Make a vision board for each new year. I'm sure you've seen these somewhere.
This is important. It puts all the goals and wants you have in front of you so that you can visualize them every single day while setting intentions around achieving them.
Invest into self development- these boxes.
Whether that be reading books, going away for the weekend, investing in a coach, these boxes, your fitness...
Make sure you're putting yourself first. As women and moms, I realize how it may seem difficult at first to incorporate self care and development into your life.
Find time. Make time. Wake up earlier. Stay up later after the kids are in bed.
DO WHATEVER it is YOU need to do AT LEAST ONCE a day. When you are at your best, you are able to show up as your best in this world.
And last, but probably most importantly, HAVE FAITH!
In yourself, in your dreams, in your ability. In God (or whatever name He goes by in your world.) I promise you those dreams you have were put there within YOU for a very specific reason.
Have faith. Don't give up.
You can do this.
